About the role:

We are currently seeking an experienced Sales Manager to launch our Biosimilars portfolio. In this exciting new role, you will lead, coach, and mentor a team of specialist representatives and maintain customer relationships across Australia. You will be at the forefront of the product pipeline and work collaboratively with the Biosimilars Marketing and Medical Department to implement the strategic imperatives, achieve targets and meet the needs of our customers and their patients.

Your Responsibilities:

In this exciting role you will be responsible for:

  • Leading and overseeing all sales activities related to Biosimilars: including being responsible for executing sales and marketing strategies and activities to achieve organisational sales targets and revenues within the Biosimilars Business Unit. You will also contribute to the development of annual and long term business plans and budgets, and forecast performance against key performance indicators.
  • Customer Relationship Management: working closely with your team, you will identify and build relationships with relevant decision-makers and key influencers, to achieve customer-centric solutions and maximum customer satisfaction
  • Leadership and Development: using your experience and leadership skills you will drive your team’s performance, and help build their capabilities and professional development
  • Organisational Liaison: as part of this role, you will liaise with regional and global teams to ensure local activities are aligned, and will also be responsible for utilising your network within the Biosimilar area, to strengthen market intelligence and enhance the visibility of the company, its products, and its services
  • Knowledge and Compliance: you will be required to possess a strong knowledge of Pharmacovigilance requirements, and to maintain an up-to-date knowledge of relevant Fresenius Kabi products, the market environment, prescribing practices and competitors’ offerings. It is also essential to be fully compliant with internal policies and guidelines as well as the Code of Conduct of Medicines Australia and the Generic and Biosimilar Medicines Association of Australia


What we are looking for:

  • Minimum 3+ years in national/regional sales management with the proven ability to mentor and motivate sales teams
  • Experience in product launches and customer segmentation highly regarded
  • Experience and relationships in the Biosimilar, Autoimmune disease area, Rheumatology or Gastroenterology preferable
  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in science. Postgraduate qualification in business preferable
  • Medicines Australia Continuing Education Program (Code of Conduct) is essential
  • Excellent external presentation skills
  • Experience in customer relationship management with high integrity
  • Excellent sales, communication, negotiation and organisational skills
  • The ability to communicate cross-functionally and build strong business relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
  • Driver’s Licence
