About the role:
We are currently seeking an experienced Specialist Sales Representative to join our team as we launch a new Biosimilar into the Australian market.

In this exciting role, you will be responsible for managing a defined state-based territory, building and maintaining customer relationships and maximising sales for a new Biosimilar in a competitive and growing market. You will be working across several specialty therapeutic areas, which require a high level of scientific, technical and market knowledge.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Sales: The ideal candidate will establish strong customer relationships to achieve sales budgets, goals and analyse sales performance metrics to achieve ongoing portfolio improvements and growth. You will use a consultative selling approach, coupled with negotiation skills to enhance and capitalise on sales opportunities.

  • Commercial Planning: You will liaise with the medical and marketing teams on all issues related to Biosimilars. You will build and maintain relationships with key hospital and specialty customers, associations and groups who are integral to the Biosimilars business and support planning and execution of symposia, meetings and exhibitions.

  • Territory Management & Customer Support: Work closely with your Manager to utilise our CRM database to plan field activity based on customer segment and target principles to meet your sales targets. In addition, you will develop detailed business plans to effectively manage your territory and accounts, in line with regulatory requirements and strategic plans.

  • Knowledge and Compliance: You will be required to possess a strong knowledge of Pharmacovigilance requirements, and to maintain an up-to-date knowledge of relevant Fresenius Kabi products, the market environment, prescribing practices and competitors offerings. It is also essential to be fully compliant with internal policies and guidelines as well as the Code of Conduct of Medicines Australia and the Generic and Biosimilar Medicines Association of Australia.


What we are looking for:

  • A minimum of 3 years of pharmaceutical sales experience within a speciality
  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in science
  • Proven sales, communication, negotiation and organisational skills
  • Resilient, adaptable, independent with a proactive working style and excellent attention to detail.
  • Professional external presentation skills and proven experience in customer relationship management with high integrity
  • The ability to communicate cross-functionally and build strong business relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
  • Launch experience in the biologic space highly desirable
  • Experience and relationships in the Autoimmune disease area, Rheumatology or Gastroenterology preferable
  • Medicines Australia (Code of Conduct) is essential
  • Current Driver’s Licence and the willingness to travel within your territory
